Rick Osteen began photographing horse shows more than 25 years ago in Southern California. Working for the renowned photographer,

June Fallaw, he learned the business from the ground up, shooting every breed and discipline imaginable at the large all breed shows

of the day. He quickly became sought after in his own right and over the years has photographed many of the most prestigious events

across the country. Rick has shot more different breeds and disciplines successfully than any other active professional photographer

working today. His worked has graced many magazine covers.

Besides working at horse shows, Rick is available to do special ranch shoots, and enjoys that aspect of the business very much.

As a side, he also enjoys doing environmental children’s and family photography, as well as shooting animals other than horses.

A family man, Rick is always eager to return home from his business trips to enjoy time with his busy family. He and his wife, Joni,

and two daughters make their home in San Diego County, California. Joni, a former top hunter/jumper rider, maintains her interest

in riding and is a highly sought after hunter/ jumper judge. The two met more than 25 years ago at a horse show and have been

together ever since. Older daughter, Lindsey, is a talented artist and enjoys ballet and many other activities. Julia, a gifted athlete,

excels at gymnastics, and enjoys dance and other athletic endeavors.
